Dallas CPA Society

TXCPA Dallas, a chapter of the Texas Society of CPAs (TXCPAs) is a not-for-profit professional association serving approximately 6,200 CPA members in Dallas and the surrounding 13 counties. It is the second largest chapter of the TXCPA, the statewide professional association with over 27,000 members and 20 chapters around the state.

Our members are active in the legislative events in Texas each year including consolidated state efforts in Austin at the beginning of every legislative session. We discuss the effects of currently proposed legislation, which can contain unintended consequences, and we propose new legislation to improve current taxation and financial reporting in Texas.

TXCPA Dallas promotes accounting as a career choice. An important component of this mission is to provide financial support to senior and graduate accounting students at local universities who plan to become active CPAs in the Dallas chapter area. In 1988 the Dallas CPA Society (now TXCPA Dallas) and Philip Vogel & Company, PC established the Dallas CPA Society Scholarship Fund in memory of the Vogel firm's founder and chairman. At the time of his death, Phil was President-elect of the Dallas CPA Society and would have served as President in 1989-90.

The CPA-PAC is the Texas Society of CPAs' (TXCPA) member-managed, member-driven and member-focused political action committee. CPA-PAC contributes much needed funds to political candidates and incumbents who understand the importance of a sound Texas economy and the critical role of the CPA in preserving the state's business climate.
