Todd Tyler, CPA, CFP

Todd has been my tax preparer since 1996, a couple years prior to him opening his own firm. He has always been very helpful, no matter what my tax situation has been. I've been married, divorce, opened then sold a business, bought a house, installed solar, receive payments from my father's estate and insurance, you name it! He has helped me through all the tax mumbo jumbo.

I know all I have to do is save my paperwork and he will handle it all. He has helped me tremendously even outside of tax season when I've had questions; and he did that at no charge! His office makes filing my taxes so easy, everything from scheduling my appointment, sending me a tax pre-packet, to e-filing my returns. I know I can trust him with any tax issue that comes up. I won't even consider going anywhere else!

Todd is a very pleasant, makes a lot of small talk. I wanted my finances moved from one company to his. He then started not returning my calls.at all, not even concerning my investments. Very odd, come to find out, after one year, he never did transfer my money and never told me. His pricing is high also compared to cpa's.

I had Todd do my taxes for 3 years. He knows his stuff and always did a good job. I have recently chosen to take my business elsewhere for the following reasons: (1) in terms of tax preparation services, he's significantly more expensive than other places for no additional value (depending on your tax situation) and (2) I went to purchase a home recently and the lender questioned something he did on the tax return I provided them and I tried calling and emailing for over a week and got no response.

The next week I drove to his office as I needed his response in order to close my loan and the office person said he was out on personal matters with no definitive return time and there no was no one else available to help me. I understand we all experience personal issues but to have no one in available to fill in and no definitive time when he would return to answer the lender's question was totally unacceptable. Followed up with his staff when they asked me to book an appt for tax prep the next year and never heard back from him. I wouldn't recommend anyone to him

We have been using Todd for years. In fact, our entire family and most of our friends use him now. He's personable and he knows his tax law. If you are lucky enough to already be his client, awesome. If you are one of the unlucky ones, such as Shelly S. there is no need to give him a 1 star. That's just rude.

Todd Tyler is a super personable man, always puts me at ease during a visit I sometimes dread, sort of like the dentist, LOL! He's intelligent, knowledgeable about his craft and always learning. Impressive, and approachable. A great combination. Todd is also very generous with his time, returning phone calls, emails and best of all, being 100% present with me during our meetings.

I feel like I have his undivided attention and can ask any questions i might need to; he takes the time to answer, explain and often, find ways for me to save money. The office is professional and courteous, returns calls promptly, gets messages over, etc. In short, he's a gem.

He is not taking new clients. I suggested he add this info to his website so as not to waste people's time, since the email link on his site is broken and when you email him at his individual email address he doesn't reply.

Todd Tyler is a fantastic CPA. I own a small business, and Todd has helped me save oodles and oodles of money. Each time I see him, he spends at least an hour with me. And he doesn't just answer my questions, but also points out other ways that I can save money with my business. He has ALWAYS called me back and answered my emails in a timely manner. On top of that, he is one of the nicest, most personable guys you will ever meet. I recommend this guy to any and everyone.

I really like Todd, and followed his advice to become an s-corp and get QuickBooks (which he offered to help us set-up). However, once we did all of that and I needed help setting up QuickBooks for our unique business situation, he wouldn't return my calls to help me set up a time to go over it. Finally, out of the blue, I received a discharge letter from him stating that he was no longer going to be able to be my accountant effective immediately.

I was shocked. It wasn't like I called so many times as to harass him, and I never called more than once every week or so for a few weeks. And I was never rude to the woman who always answered the phone. So, now I'm stuck with QuickBooks that I can't use, and now I am stuck with finding a new accountant/tax preparer who can figure out my mess with being a sole proprietor for 1/2 year and an s-corp for the last 1/2.

I did send Todd a polite email asking if he would reconsider or, at least, tell me why he was unable to help us any longer, and he never even gave me the courtesy of a response. I am very confused (and a little hurt) by the whole situation. I do think Todd is a good tax preparer, but I didn't appreciate how he treated us at the end. I was shocked and didn't expect it from him. He seemed like such a nice guy.
