Lazy, unprofessional and completely disorganized. *This woman also is not a CPA.* Take it from me after myriad horrid interactions with her: invest an extra couple hundred dollars in an actual CPA (and a more professional person in general). Don't put your taxes at risk. Miraculously, she was finally able to file my taxes - even though, of course, she paid them late, despite me having everything ready for her by end of March (and despite my countless follow ups with her).

Please take note: if she says she will "help" you with setting up Quickbooks, she will charge you without telling you (she doesn't use contracts whatsoever- as a business owner, this is a huge red flag). She quoted me one rate, said she would "help" me with Quickbooks, and then I had a much bigger bill later than she quoted. I guess that's why she doesn't use contracts. very shady. Also, take a look at Janet's review below about all of the issues she had to fix with her returns due to Iren. this isn't just my opinion. don't trust Iren. Lastly, I've already moved on and found a new accountant (an actual CPA) who has extremely clear communication, is organized, thorough & detail oriented (kind of basic requirements for an accountant you'd think, right?). Shockingly, Iren is none of these things. Avoid her at all costs.

This lady is NOT an accountant. She is a TAX PREPARER. This means that she is supposed to only help friends and family prepare their taxes. She charges higher than a CPA. Please be aware that she carries bond insurance as a tax preparer, not an ENROLLED AGENT, or a CPA. She will also charge you to correct her mistakes. I would advise anyone who needs their taxes to be prepared to keep looking.

This person is not the appropriate person for that purpose. Her 5 star rating is most likely given by friends and fools. I know from personal experience. She prepared two tax returns for me, and both have mistakes. We are still trying to sort out the mess, and when I asked for her help, she required payment to correct what she had done wrong. Again, buyer beware.

Iren Miklos should be listed as one of top 10 best accountant in San Diego, CA. She is well versed, updated with the tax laws and a Quickbooks guru. This is my second year using her services in filing our personal/business taxes. She is so patient in educating me especially since I am not a quick learner (I have to admit) and did not rush in completing our taxes. She is pleasant, understanding and quick to laugh when I crack one of my corny jokes. I highly recommend her and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Iren is not only a great accountant but a caring and compassionate person. When she had some time, she taught me how to use Quickbooks to help my husband and I keep track of our business expenses. Very helpful. She saved me thousands of dollars through deductions for my small business. She took the time to sit down with me and make my seemingly insurmountable tax nitemare seem simple. Very recommended.

Iren was such great help to my new business! She helped me figure out and set up Quickbooks, so now I know what I'm doing and where my business money is going. She is a registered QuickBooks advisor and really is a QB wiz! She helped me figure out taxes and will be helping me file annual/quarterly taxes as well. Since she's not a CPA, she doesn't charge an arm and a leg like CPAs do but can basically do the same things (well, my business is not that complicated anyways).

The first two hours of the consultation was free, so that was very nice too and it was super-easy to set up a meeting with her. I'd definitely recommend her for keeping your personal or business books, payroll (YES!) and taxes. I've decided to keep my own books for now, so she basically is just holding my hand for now but she can keep books if you're really busy or don't want to learn about it.
