Our thriving accounting firm was founded by Mel and Carol Butler over 50 years ago in Salt Lake City, Utah. For over 45 years, Butler Tax & Accounting has been a locally owned and operated Utah business specializing in Tax Preparation, Accounting & Bookkeeping Services, Retirement and Insurance Planning, and Real Estate Purchasing and Sales. Paul specializes in the Tax and Accounting side of our business. He has a masters degree in accounting and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He is highly educated on tax and accounting matters and is one of only a few elite tax and accounting specialists here in the Salt Lake City area that is both a CPA and an Enrolled Agent (EA), having passed the rigorous four-part test administered by the IRS. This means he can represent taxpayers before the IRS in audits, the appeals process, and other complicated tax and accounting matters.
Mark has over 19 years of real estate sales experience. He has obtained the designation of Real Estate Principal Broker and is a great asset to the company. He is highly skilled and utilizes the latest technologies to sell your home. With his financial background in taxes and accounting, he gives wise counsel on the financial implications of buying or selling real estate.

We've gotten our taxes done here for two years now. Last year was great, but this year unfortunately we were disappointed do to the fact that the IRS needed to fix our tax return and actually gave us more back than what we were told we were going to get. It also took much longer because of the miscalculation.

The whole experience was amazing from the second we walked in we were greeted and the man up front took our little ones on a tour of the building, gave them candy and made them feel so special! Mark was so friendly and we spent a good hour with him and had our taxes done. He could tell we didn't like the news that we owe money for our return for this year and gave us $50 dollars off of his services and it was such a kind gesture. We really appreciated that. I have used Mr. Ridd at Butler Tax & Accounting for the last two years. He gives great, professional service, and is very easy to work with. He has helped me with in-state and out-of-state returns during this time. I love going to Butler Tax & Accounting for all of my money needs! They have been doing my taxes for 11 years. One year I did not have Mark do my taxes I had the biggest delay and issue with getting my refund. I've never had a problem with Mark. Mark always make sure that we have everything before we finalize the taxes. It is so fast and easy to go and get our taxes done!
We have also talked and met with Russell to have our retirement plans looked over. Russell gave us great advice as well! I love the Butler family and I can't wait for the continued business!
