My husband and I have been coming here for taxes for the last 3 years, however my husband has gone for 5. He's always paid around $250 for his taxes to be done and has been coming back loyally. This year, we received a bill for from the company for $595! There was NO WARNING that there was a price increase beforehand (otherwise we would have gone somewhere else- which now we will).

So I called, and I will say, the staff is kind, and the woman who does billing was able to have the owners decrease my bill to $425. She explained that each year there is a 5% increase. When I informed her that I previously paid $255 and even $425 is a huge increase, she attempted to explain that it's "what we have in the return" and the "time it takes"-- it's never been this way before.

It would have been nice to be informed beforehand. My husband is a lineman and his co workers all go to the same CPA for a much more reasonable price and they're happy with the work done for them. Needless to say we not be returning next year. I'm sadly disappointed and feel scammed by the owner/operators of this company. I do not recommend this CPA any longer unfortunately. Communication with pricing and communication all around really could be better.

I went to a CPA for my personal taxes because I wanted to be sure they were done correctly. I have taken accounting accounting courses, majored in Economics & have a commercial banking background. As it turns out, I was the one who had find THEIR ERRORS! For my 2018 taxes 1) they put 2 sources of income into 1 classification, 2) Showed on a form that I would receive a certain refund.

When the amount I received was short by $1,200, I had to call to find out where it was. Turns out they prepaid my 2019 taxes with it, without notifying me. 3) Prior to my finding out about the prepaid 2019 tax, my preparer told me that I would have no State tax liability for 2019, which I knew was wrong! 4) I paid for my taxes when I picked them up, only to receive a bill from them later!

When I asked Mike Anderson for a discount on my fee, since I believe I spent more time on them than his firm, he refused. I did my 2019 taxes myself for free, even with extra schedules, online with Credit Karma this year!
