I have dealt with many firms over the years. Finally found a firm that really prides itself on partnering with their clients. Many firms will complete your taxes, due your audits, and provide some level of consulting. Most of them really don't understand what your business really does. With GMA, they really want to learn and support the business they are working with. It is nice having this extension to our business. Great Partners!

Their billing is excessive and out of scope. I hired this firm because they asked for a very modest downpayment to start with, and was told, most of the work will be done by a junior book keeper to keep the cost down. I delivered to them all the numbers, and did most of the work myself. I ended up with an exorbitant bill. I am still fighting this bill and I am not able to pay it.

HIGHLY recommend Gross, Mendelsohn & Associates. If you are looking for an Accounting System Consultant, look no farther. Our company has been using them for 5+ years. They are EXTREMELY knowledgeable and quick to help. When we switched our accounting software several years ago their expertise made the transition seamless and easy. Gross Mendelsohn is a wonderful firm - we've used them for several years for nonprofit audit and accounting services, and can't speak more highly of them. I became a client and did not receive an invoice for almost a year, despite asking repeatedly for an estimate of the fees that were being incurred. When I finally received an invoice, it FAR exceeded my expectations and ability to pay. "Surprise" billing is not ethical, in my opinion and client communication is paramount in service oriented businesses.
