Great service. Easy to work with and very helpful, respectful of your privacy, knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone that does not want to do their own taxes. They actually like doing taxes unlike the rest of the world.

Not a fan of their service or value. Due to Valley Tax acquiring the company I previously used for taxes, I went ahead and had them do our taxes in 2021 & 22. I was very disappointed with the cost, the lack of response to voicemail messages, and they just really didn't make us feel like a valued customer. I will find another tax preparer moving forward.

Apple Valley tax and accounting, and specifically Tom Mould, have been doing our tax planning and preparation for five years. I've always found them to be professional accurate and timely. Even though Tom has his staff do the tax prep, he does the review and final presentation to us about our personal as well as business taxes.

Helpful staff, will give you a lot of one on one time, quick response, call/text or email they are pretty fast. After tax filling if there is anything you need help with they will look into your case and work with you. Fairly priced service!

Never again. A Nightmare. Bought out Larsen & Larsen and I'll never go back again. For years we used Larsen & Larsen in Rosemount and were very pleased. Perhaps Mike is preparing for retirement or sold his business because we were notified of the change to Valley Accounting and Tax. We turned in our taxes the earliest we have ever turned them in. Because of the change, we asked which location we should drop them off to get them done the quickest.

On Wednesday February 17 we were told if we dropped them off that day in Rosemount they would be done in a week. We dropped them off 2/17/21. One week came. No call. We called Thursday 2/25/21 and were told they would be done the middle of next week. March 3 and 4th came and we heard nothing. Another phone call. We were told they would be done by Monday March 8.

My wife called Monday afternoon and we were told they were printing them right now. We packed up our 3-month-old and drove from Lakeville to Rosemount. When we arrived, we were then told he was finishing them right now. Wait, I thought when we called they were being printed off. So we waited. Now, they were being finished. We waited. Now, they were being printed.

One parent inside waiting for over 30 minutes and one parent waiting in the car with a fussy baby who is wondering why the taxes were not ready since we drove from Lakeville to Rosemount while they were supposedly being printed. We will never use them again. Obviously they can't hit a deadline or can't honestly share when things will be done. When we called Wednesday 2/17 they should have said they won't be done until March 9th.

But they didn't. We had a child in 2020 so we had some urgency to get everything processed and felt good about having things turned in about as soon as possible. Just like so many other things in life, someone has bought out a good operation. Now they are too big and can't give professional, timely service. We will look elsewhere. My wife ended up being late to her volleyball practice that night.

When she relayed the story to her accountant friend/assistant coach, she guessed correctly that we showed up and the taxes were not done. She said that's just like an accountant to put it off until the last moment. She wasn't surprised. Sad and we will now look elsewhere. Valley Accounting and Tax had all sorts of excuses for the delay- phone lines down, system crash, whatever. Just do your job. No excuses. Do your job. Get it done. Do what you said you would do.

I really can't say enough good things about Steve Smith. I've had the pleasure of working with him for my personal taxes and have run into him at a number of charitable and volunteer events. He truly cares about not just his clients, but about the community around him. I will gladly continue to work with him for my personal returns and I'm completely confident and comfortable referring him out to clients, friends, and family. He's just an outstanding person!

I have been working with Tom, the owner for over 20 years. He has always been accurate, dependable and has provided me with relevant and effective tax advice when I have needed it. Valley Accounting bought out our tax guy a few years ago. We used Valley Accounting for two years. They don't go out of their way to give you any tax advice, tests fir sure. I basically prepared all the information and did all the leg work and they basically plugged in the numbers and charged us a lot of money. Both years we had to pay in. Never had that with our former tax guy. Again, when we would ask for advice on how to avoid paying g in the next year, they offered no advice.

The second year, after filing taxes, we were contacted by the State MN saying our tax returns weren't received. Apple Valley was supposed to efile, but they made a mistake and hadn't efiled our taxes for whatever reason. And they also found mistakes that the original accountant hadn't caught. They refiled for us. Then State MN contacted us saying we got should have gotten a refund. Now I prepare my own taxes instead of paying them my hard earned $200.

I have been a client for over 15 years. First with Harry and now with Tom after he purchased the business several years ago. I couldn't be happier. The service is consistently strong and Tom is always looking out for my best interests. As I pursued and now successfully own my own business Tom has been a trusted advisor. He does an excellent job advising me not only on personal and business tax strategy but will also general advice as appropriate. I can not imagine making the entrepreneurial leap without Tom's assistance. Thanks Tom!

Sadly, from start to finish, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I was notified by the IRS that they never filed my taxes. I needed help filing my first year as a non-profit. I did lots of leg work, everything that was asked of me. I paid in what was required only to get a letter the following year stating that they IRS had my money but never received my taxes.

I also did my personal taxes and they lost my paperwork and after calling several times finally got someone to email me my personal taxes. Many calls, many emails, many excuses. Bummed.
