I would HIGHLY recommend Jim Merritt for all your Quickbook questions and training! I started a small business last year and thought I was using Quickbooks correctly until my CPA said our books were a mess. I contacted Jim and needed help cleaning up our Quickbooks ASAP for tax season. He came to our office and gave up a hands-on class within one week of contacting him.

He teached us how to use Quickbooks and got our Quickbook entries cleaned up and organized. He responds quickly to ALL my email questions and is very knowledgeable and personable. We would not have been able file our taxes on time if it was for Jim!

Me and my husband purchased a restaurant last year and we were so busy running our place that we never had time to set up our quick books and make sure everything is recorded right way. we had some experience to do basic transactions but it was not enough when it was time to do our taxes. We went online and started to search for someone who can help (during Covid time everything is online which makes it so much easier) and we found Jim Merritt from QuickTrainer! Jim set up our chart of accounts and fixed all the transactions I had questions about in less then a week!

I can't say enough how amazing Jim is. He is so patient and helpful. Very encouraging and such a great teacher. I was kinda thrown into a new role with hubby's business and our awesome accountant talked me into using QB. I hadn't fully used it and hasn't used it all for years. I have been working with Quickbooks for quite some time but it is only lately that I realized that I was not using the program's full potential. I also learned that I needed the help of a professional. I did some research and learned about Quicktrainer. I called and spoke to Jim Merritt and explained what I was trying to accomplish. We met for coffee and I explained my goals and objectives to Jim in more detail.

It was exactly the fix that I had sought. I found Jim Merritt to be professional, knowledgeable and insightful. I knew then that he would be the one to guide me through the maze. I also learned that his scope extended beyond Quickbooks into accounting concepts. He streamlined and restructured my "chart of accounts", re-stated actual accounts and generally cleaned things up, removing un-wanted entries and instructed me on how things should be done correctly.

He was also able to correct errors that I had been living with for years. I have absolutely no regrets. After I become more familiar with this new interaction using a current version of Quickbooks Pro, we will move on to other Quickbooks applications targeted in my grand plan, with Jim's guidance, of course. We have just scratched the surface. I highly recommend Jim and Denise Merritt and plan to use them again, very soon.

Jim was so helpful to me and my business. The information and quickbooks training he gave me in about 1 hour has saved more than 6 hours of extra work per month. The training has streamlined my process and allowed me more time to grow the business and less on record keeping. The expertise they have on the Quickbooks Software is excellent. As a new user of Quickbooks, Jim has been great in teaching me the skills I needed to get started using the program. He is also very helpful with those who have experience, providing helpful hints and smart suggestions. He has helped us get the books in order and provided advice and time saving strategies!

Jim Merritt of Quick Trainer has been an amazing resource for our Quick Books training needs. He is great at sharpening your QB skills. Jim and Quick Trainer are very responsive and make the learning easy.

If I could give zero stars I would. Initially they were great and helped clean up a lot of my QuickBooks transactions. Over time, communication decreased and invoices increased. Several times I had to ask them to work on my account because it was so out of date. They will give you an initial quote: and they will have you fill out an automatic ACH form that deducts money straight away from your bank account (at their convenience).

The first quote I received was around $250- then it increased to $350- until the most recent withdrawal for $587. When I asked about this charge, they stated that my books were "a mess"- even I said so (back in October 2017) and that I initiated all of these additional services. Yes, my books were a mess- and I paid them nearly $1,000 to start to get it cleared up.

Why am I seeing this in April? To top it off, they have now sent me a letter stating that they would like to take me to small claims, since I cancelled the $587 transaction (who wouldn't have?). The invoices that they send have no dates and no details. Their slogan is "We NEVER nickel and dime our clients" and this could not be further from the truth. Do NOT set up an automatic draft with them.

If I could give 10 stars, I would! Jim has been AMAZING to work with. He has been so generous and patient with his time in teaching someone who knew very little about Office Management. Because of his guidance, not only do I feel confident in my abilities, but EXCITED about what I can do in my new role within our company. THANK YOU, JIM!

I initially called Jim and QuickTrainer with NO knowledge of Quickbooks, but rather the need to learn quickly given we had just started a small company. He was patient, thorough and able to teach me what I needed to know specific to our business in tailored sessions, giving me the opportunity to learn and work simultaneously. Years later, I'm still reaching out to him when questions come up so I can expand my Quickbooks ability in order to keep up with our evolving business needs.

He is always quick to respond, his schedule is flexible and is able to either meet in person or help online. Jim is a resource that has been invaluable to the growth of our company.

We hired these people to help us figure out Quickbooks online for our S corp. Later on we found out that they didn't know anything about the online version of Quickbooks. But they did charge us $2500 and totally screwed up our books in the process. (Much of that charge was due to the time they spent allegedly undoing the damage.) I personally spent over 100 hours going through our books and correcting their mistakes. There is no way I can recommend these people to anyone. I mean, they're nice and all, but not competent.
