We are new to the Charlottesville area and given we had to file taxes in three states, and our limited time to get up to speed on the changes in capital gains tax we would incur from the sale of our home etc., we went to Monfalcone and Garris to help with our taxes. Despite being extraordinarily busy this year, they were extremely responsive, thorough and made the process so easy for me.

I work long days and nights at UVA Health System and it isn't easy to get out to meet a tax preparer. By making it easy to upload my documents to a secure folder on their website and eliminating the need for me to come into their office, they quickly and skillfully completed our taxes. Arthur was especially helpful as he fielded multiple calls from my wife and multiple emails from me and always responded to us kindly and professionally and promptly.

In fact, he is the single best tax preparer I have ever worked with - thorough, diligent and detail oriented. After the taxes were complete, I had a question and Christina Monfalcone herself responded back to my email within a few hours. Being from Kansas City, we traditionally used H&R Block as they are headquartered there, but Christina, Arthur and their colleagues made this the easiest tax filing we have ever experienced! We want to thank Christina and her team (including Shannon, Carlie, Zack, and especially Laurie) for helping us with our taxes this year. Until recently, our taxes had been fairly straightforward, and we'd been doing them on our own without too many issues.
