We started as a small one-person firm in 1964 by a woman named Ann Vine, who was one of the first female public accountants in Washington State. When she was joined by Ron Dahlen in the early 1970s, Vine Dahlen was born. We have operated in south Snohomish County for 50 plus years. We have stayed true to the principles Ann and Ron established and continue to be a leader in our community.

Services
We provide auditing services both in the not-for-profit and for-profit sectors. In the not-for-profit arena we specialize in voluntary health and welfare organizations, foundations, associations, health care organizations, community action councils, housing authorities, and OMB Circular A-133. Having a clear and up-to-date picture of your financial situation is vital to making sound business decisions.
Lisa joined our firm in 1986 and became a member in 1997. She is a 1985 graduate of the University of Washington with a B.A. in Business Administration, Accounting Concentration. Lisa has significant audit and assurance experience with construction contractors, not-for-profit organizations, distributors, manufacturers, professional services, retail and wholesale trade companies.
Scott joined our firm in 1999, and became a member in 2003. Scott is a 1994 graduate of the University of Washington, with a B.A. in Business Administration, Accounting Concentration, and a Master of Professional Accounting (Taxation Concentration), in 2001. Scott is a tax consultant and provider of compliance services tailored to meet the diverse needs of business and individuals, with significant state and local tax experience.
Currently a co-managing member of Vine Dahlen, Stacy joined Vine Dahlen in 1997, and became a member in 2012. She is a graduate of Southern Oregon University with a B.A. in Business Administration, Accounting Concentration, and a minor in German. After graduation, she completed an accounting internship with a German corporation, Bad Nauheim, Germany.

Don't count on this company to stand by you. If you are looking for a stable, long term relationship with an accountant, avoid Vine Dahlen. My 93 old mother was left high and dry, terminated as a client with NO explanation offered whatsoever. Her tax preparation requires nothing very difficult or out of the ordinary. Vine Dahlen was compensated at a very high rate for the couple of hours it took to complete my Mom's tax return.
Perhaps she didn't provide enough revenue for Vine Dahlen? Perhaps they are ageists? My mother is a sweet old lady who always paid her bill on time. She mistakenly thought she had a reliable accounting firm that was as trustworthy as she is.

This firm is interested in one thing $$$$, and i dont feel a personal connection with them or some of there staff. They are very conservative an non aggressive no longer a good fit for me. Sorry guys you charge allot for a bunch of papers that are useless to me. Let me remind you your job is to serve me!

We have been using this firm for quite some time as our previous accountant moved to this location. They have been nothing but helpful to us, providing good advice and helping us learn how to increase our retirement. I do a prelim tax prep before I go in and the process and easy and quick. They have all our data from past years which makes it easier. They have been available for questions as needed. We could not be more pleased with their services.
