Randi McMasters, EA, is a small business tax return and accounting specialist. She has a BS in Business Finance, worked as a controller for a small business and has owned Quality Returns, Inc., for over 17 years. Randi has also been an instructor at De Anza and West Valley Colleges for individual/ business tax and accounting classes and specializes in complex tax returns.
Randi does all my general accounting and bookkeeping. She helps me navigate through the tax laws and gives me good, solid advice. It takes her one hour to do what it would take me eight hours. This leaves me more time to focus on the more creative part of my business-my innate talents. When we upgraded to the newest version of Quick Books, Randi came in to train our staff.

Quality Tax Returns is owned by Randi McMaster and her help is Rosemary. These 2 are a truly disastrous pair. They charged me over $500 for my 2014 return, which they "filed" electronically.lol, had to take it elsewhere today to finally get it filed. When I needed a clean copy of what I'd already paid for they demanded more money. Then Randi iced the cake when I finally saw her.she talked over me and then began screaming about calling the police and in front of other clients also shouted out as I left, "oh her, her ex is a crystal meth head".(actually she's wrong, he is dead, died from complications related to a pneumothorax). Needless to say she scared the bejesus out of me. (Shes 50 lbs bigger!). Im calling the Better Business Bureau today.

So we have a pretty simple return with two married people and a couple child-related deductions. Randi did the minimum she could for us. She confused the heck out of me in the process and I'm still trying to figure out all the steps along the way. Furthermore, it was hard to get her to return phone calls too. If you literally just need your taxes done, then she's fine.
But if you want to understand the process and call to ask a few questions, forgot it. Basically, unless you have enough business to get her attention, don't bother, just use TurboTax. You'll be better off.

I have been using Quality Returns for over 15 years for my business. If you own a business you know it's more than just an end of the year tax return it's about support during the year that counts. She is always helpful and is a Quickbooks expert so we can call anytime to ask questions come up through the year. She also takes care of payroll taxes and handled an EDD audit. I would highly recommend Quality Returns.
