John and his team may be great CPA's based on the Google recommendations but be aware the company is not accepting new clients as of May 2022.it would be great if they posted that on the website

He seemed nice at first and I was sorry to discover his fondness for our president.telling myself that was irrelevant, I pressed forward. But his estimated cost for doing my taxes was triple what I was expected to pay (and eventually did pay) and I was happy to have a real reason to leave. He is way overpriced.

He has a great personality which makes doing my taxes with him somewhat fun. Did I say fun and taxes in the same sentence? Guess I am getting older. His rates are reasonable and he or his staff will get back to you quickly if you have a question.

His small office is low key and located in Culver City not in some fancy Beverly Hills office building which probably keeps his costs down and the fees he charges his customers. Glad I found him right here on Yelp.

Normally I do my own taxes online but I'm starting my own business so things are getting more complicated. John is the first CPA I've worked with. I appreciate that it was easy to get time for a free 30 min consult and later an hour appointment to do the return. In between appointments John was approachable and responsive via email, and he pointed me to some useful tools (Xero and MileIQ).

I feel like I've found someone I can come to as my business grows for advice throughout the year, not just at tax season, which is what I was looking for. I would recommend John!
