I am so thankful to have been referred here. I have been doing my own with online tax services over the years. As a sole proprietor it was simple. With the pandemic it made 2020 taxes too complex to do myself. Self employment, unemployment, SBA Loans etc. I hired someone else last April, paid them, they filed a extension and ghosted me. I panicked!
Today I walked into Kim's office without an appointment and was welcomed. The whole staff worked so efficiently. I was in and out quickly. Let's just say they are so good that I am never doing my own taxes again. As long as I am in business, I will continue to use Kim Coyle. Thank you team!

Overcharged. Ignored Communication. Unprofessional. As requested, I emailed all documentation for material to be handled virtually. Not once did anyone ever call or say the following person will be taking care of your taxes or that we received your many emails of attached documents. In fact, I emailed the office to confirm if they actually received my emails.
The next day I received a voicemail from Kim who was hurried, failed to say a proper greeting, but instead left on the voicemail, "hey, your taxes are done, can you call back to go over them?" I called him back immediately and again, no formal greeting, for example, "how are you, good afternoon, " straight to business. Fine. Kim asked two questions, 1) did you teach summer school, 2) do you have any kids. Again, unprofessional and not familiar with me as his client, when I just sent over the day before my client profile which states I'm a single teacher with no children.
The next thing Kim asked while coughing loud in the background, again, unprofessional and possibly unaware of the many quotes being given to clients throughout the day, he asked, "what did we quote you? $250?" I didn't want to say it wasn't the correct quote originally given because I needed to go back to my yelp messages as proof that it was quoted for $195 since I received previous quotes from other CPAs. Kim ran the amount for $250, however, in less than an hour I emailed the office back attaching the Yelp message with the quoted amount for a teacher requesting an itemized tax service saying they'd charge $195.
After emailing the screenshot of the Yelp message with the quote of $195 I also called Kim R.Coyle CPA and spoke with Duc. When speaking to Duc I communicated again that I was overcharged and needed clarification on where signatures were required on the documentation that Kim prepared and emailed without specific instructions on where to sign. Duc's response under her breath was, "oh no, he must have left without finishing." Duc confirmed in a email I would receive a refund and when days passed without an update of how the refund would be given I emailed back asking for an update and NEVER got a response.
I sought LEGAL REPRESENTATION because simply ignoring my request for a response to fix their mistake was unacceptable. Based on my experience, the company is overcharging, unprofessional, has poor customer service, does not take interest in knowing their client's profile, and will go as far as to ignore a client when they're rightfully asking for a refund from being overcharged-the audacity in the middle of global pandemic.
Before committing to receive services from Kim R. Coyle CPA: 1) Ask for a name of who will be preparing your taxes because apparently multiple people are answering phones and emails with no accountability nor integrity, and 2) ask for a quote in writing and for it to be emailed for your protection.

Call Kim Coyle CPA to keep the IRS away! My mind slipped last year and thought we might have been late to file our taxes. One call to their office and my anxiety was cleared. He outlined very clearly and concisely exactly what I needed to get to him and then gave me an exact quote for what it would cost (which is on par, if not a bit lower than other CPAs I have used in the past). The turn around time, even given the impending filing deadline, was incredibly smooth. What a pleasant experience! I could not be happier with a CPA - Thank you Kim!

Kim Coyle has been my account for close to a decade, he provides amazing service and low rates. He'll work with you in any situation, and gives time to give advice to anyone who needs tax advice that comes through his office. As an accountant I know he does audits and helps with tax problems, if I something were to happen to my finances and taxes I know the first person I'd call to get some help would be Kim.
He's a great guy outside of the office, fun to be around and personable. Personally I think he should move his office closer to the beach, because that's where he seems most at home.

I am so glad I found Kim years ago. I would defiantly recommend him. He's everything you need in a tax consultant. Kim has been efficient and accurate without exception, and very reasonable with his rates. Kim is very knowledgeable, reliable, and kind. He also has a great sense of humor. Our meetings are always relaxing. He and his associates communicate everything in an organized fashion, so you don't feel overwhelmed by all the material. Kim Coyle & Associates are Tax Guru's!
