We used Stromberg and Co. for our personal taxes after our previous CPA retired and transferred their clients to them. While we had no problem with their work, they were quite expensive, almost $500. This seemed especially expensive considering that they had us fill out a 30 page tax organizer that basically had us do all the work for them, so all they had to do was plug in numbers from the organizer into the appropriate tax forms.
We were also disappointed to find we were charged nearly $100 more than my parents (who also transferred to Stromberg and Co. from our previous CPA) despite us having significantly less complicated taxes than my parents. This year we tried a different CPA, who did equally good work as Stromberg and Co., but charged us 60% less and didn't have us fill out an organizer to do most of the work for them. We won't be going back to Stromberg and Co.
