I have been using the CPA firm, Wild, Maney & Resnick, to do my taxes for well over 10 years. Although I am a CPA, I have a disconnect with taxes. I have always used Craig Wild, the Managing Partner. Craig is extremely knowledge with taxes. The Wild, Maney & Resnick firm sends a tax questionnaire which is extensive. You fill it out & attach the associated documents.
You then make an appointment with your tax advisor. At the appointed time, you give your questionnaire with all supporting documentation to your tax advisor. With Craig Wild, he inputs all the information & within a half hour he is able to tell you what you owe or what will be refunded to you. You then return to their office at 185 Froelich Farm Rd. Woodbury, NY.
You look over the most complete package of Federal, State returns, supporting schedules & estimated tax forms, if applicable, with the estimated taxesyou pay quarterly, included in the package are the form with the amount owed & the attached preaddressed envelopes. You sit in the office & go over everything to make sure of their accuracy. They electronically file your returns after you sign the forms with their guided stickers.
You receive a copy of your taxes with all original documents returned. Of course, you pay their fee which is reaonable for the work done. I am a most happy client. Everyone the works there is very friendly & helpful. With the 2019 pandemic, you could bring your completed package to their office or mail it in a prepaid envelope. The firm made it easy to file your 2019 taxes.

The personelle and the clients all wore masks, use the provided hand sanitizers and followed social distancing. It was a relief that they were so well organized. I was very close to the filing deadline & could not avail myself of putting the information in the prepaid envelope which was the easiest method.

I had the unpleasant experience of Alex Resnick as my accountant. He would never get back to me! I would be so stressed about some letter and would reach out to him and it would be impossible to get in touch with him. Being my accountant he knows that whatever savings I have I donate to charities - so like usual I give him my paperwork very early in Feb but he filed extensions etc and when he actually filed around 7 months later I noticed there was a late/interest fee due to late filing of around $500!
I asked him about it, saying that listen man that money was supposed to help poor people in India, could you please consider donating a matching amount from your company and it would be tax deductible - he didn't even have the courtesy of responding. very sad. I believe he gives priority to those big clients that will fill his pockets and simply doesn't care about the individual.
