What started in 1955 by Marcus Shapiro, continues today. A first and second generation, family run business that continues to offer personalized tax services to individuals and businesses throughout the Northern Virginia, Washington DC and Maryland area. Upon the passing of company founder Marcus Shapiro in 1975, his spouse Patricia Shapiro hired accountants and took control of the business.
For many individuals, tax preparation and filing may seem like and overwhelming task. With constant change to complicated Federal and State tax laws, along with life and financial changing events, this is common feeling for a large majority of the population. Overlooking deductions and credits that you are entitled to can cost you money.
In 2006, a new record was set with over 73 million tax returns filed electronically through the IRS e-file system. Shapiro Tax Consultant is an authorized IRS e-file Provider. This allows us to file your return electronically to the IRS for processing. The process is seamless and efficient. Once your tax return is prepared, it is electronically sent to the IRS.

This guy is a racist and anti-Christian. When I say anti. I mean, he's the Hitler of Anti-Christians. He spews vitriolic hatred and pointless insults. He thinks he's so superior to the "pagans" of his host country that he posts hundreds of hate-filled unsolicited comments on Quora every month. Lenny Shapiro does a outstanding job. When you leave everything is filed and you know what your refund will be. My dad and mom used him for years and I started seeing him in 1999 with my own return while he also did my moms who had died. I have used him every year since then and will continue to do so.
