Mr. Chen manages the firm's various practice areas. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Chen was with Deloitte and Touche in charge of audit engagements plus tax services as a tax manager. Mr. Chen's other professional experience includes management positions in companies with complex multistate issues in the area of income, property, and sales taxation.
The firm was established in Los Angeles in 1972 as the first CPA firm founded by Chinese immigrants in the United States. Since its establishment, the firm has undergone several reorganizations. After naming the firm Chen & Fan Accountancy Corporation in 1992 in view of expanding its service areas and increasing its partnership and professional staff, it opened its first branch office in the San Jose/Fremont area in Northern California. In 1997, it also established a second branch office in San Diego, a southern California city near the Mexican border.
Auditing service includes financial statement audit, compliance audit, internal audit and operation audit. Accounting service includes bookkeeping service, accounting system set-up, review and compilation services for financial statements. The partners and professionals of Chen & Fan have extensive background and experience.
Chen & Fan provides the highest quality services. The firm is a member of the Center for Audit Quality and participates in the AICPA National Peer Review Program. It also is a registered firm with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB).
