Compupay continues to owe our company $1,000 in penalties that we had to pay to the IRS because they failed to send out the required 941 forms. (This continues from 2008, and I have left messages and spoken with staff and managers 49 times (taken directly from my contact log with them) with no resolution. The last time I spoke with them I was transferred to the Executive Vice President of the company for resolution.

I left a message with no call back. I would love it if someone seemed like they cared and actually had the power to do something about it. The company started out great, we enjoyed working with our payroll specialist at, but she eventually ended up leaving the company and it all went down hill from there. The service that Nancy gave us when she was there was a 5 star, however, it eroded ever since she left.

And the fact that a payroll company didnt file the reports that they should have and the fact that it is now 4+ years later with no resolution after repeated attempts to contact and escalate for a resolution I cannot in good faith give them a higher score.

Of course good service is worth the price and I actually switched from Paychex just because of that. Unfortunately most "growing companies" give you great attitude and service to get you started, and after a while the great service fades off, and all that remains is an attitude. I just talked to an account manager name Sharon in Walnut Creek branch, who sounded like she hated her job.

I don't want to get into details about what was said, although I would recommend CompuPay records phone conversations randomly to evaluate their employees. I give 3 stars since I guess other payroll companies are not much better, and also Sharon maybe had a bad day.
