At Detweiler Hershey, we pride ourselves on treating our clients as unique; assisting in their success, as they define it, by employing quality tools and helpful information. From our earliest days, we have built our service offerings around the specific needs of our clients-continually seeking to develop effective and efficient solutions. The result-seventy-one years of relationships and counting. Which is why, for instance, when a client was ready to expand into an industry where we had little experience, we took the time to learn about it so we could assist them.

Our 401(k) audit services are more than just a commodity. We have experience with many different company retirement plans. This allows us to see what functions work for each client. When auditing 401(k) and 403(b) plans, we make recommendations to improve future audit processes and assist each plan to remain in compliance with ERISA and DOL requirements. We are respectful of all parties, facilitate communication between the employers and employees of the plan, and address mistakes and discrepancies.
An audit is an exercise where the client allows us to look over their shoulders, testing their data to bring third-party independent accountability. It is also an opportunity to make recommendations regarding accounting and operational inefficiencies during this process. Attest functions are often needed for any organization that must meet external reporting requirements or seeks bank financing. We endeavor to help our attest function clients avoid viewing their financial statement, or other end product, as a commodity.
