I was dealing with Vona and Vona for a good 10 years the father Sam Vona was great filling out my yearly taxes. Sam retired and the daughter Maria Vona took over worse mistake the father could have made in leaving her in charge. Maria or one of her staff who suppose to be Cum Laude Association fucked up my 2016 taxes they had me owing monies. I recently found out that there was certain credits and write off that they should have given me.
If they gave me these credits my refund would have been $4k+. Secondly, I feel Maria wanted a certain clientele which consist of no minorities. Save yourself money and don't ever go to this accounting firm to do your taxes!
