We have been using Newton's services for several years now. He and his staff are very thorough and knowledgeable. You can find cheaper services but you get what you pay for. We originally came to him because the IRS thought we owed $11,000 due to an error from using Turbo Tax. We were freaked out to say the least. Newton got it straightened out and we found out we were actually due a refund that year.

Having Newton Buckley for a CPA for over 40 years has made my life much less complicated. He is professional, trustworthy, detail oriented, a people person, and he adheres to a strict ethical code. Because he stays on top of tax laws, he has kept me up to date and compliant. He has also hired qualified staff who are able to answer many of my questions. I am so happy Newton Buckley is my CPA!

Dishonest, incompetent, and slow. We were told that we would have a free consultation but he charged us for that (he charged more for the consult then we've ever paid for the entire taxes to be completed). We turned in all the information (including the expense categories totalled, income totalled, daily account totals reconciled per account) early January and he did not finish the work till August.
He asked over and over again for the same data (that was in the original file I submitted to him). The only thing I could think was that he kept loosing the paperwork or that he doesn't know how to navigate excel. The only thing he needed to do was fill in the numbers for the tax forms and send them in. I wasn't even able to get work done some days because he continued to ask for the same information over and over again.
I finally just started forwarding the same email with the same file. When he couldn't figure out how to use Excel I retyped all the data into a profit and loss sheet and submitted that. He still couldn't figure it out and my mom had to go in and explain it to him in person (after we had already explained everything during the 'free' consult). He charged over $9,000.00 for poor work. Plus we'll have to pay fines for the taxes going in late/redoing our personal taxes.
