I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CO TO ANYONE! The way they treated my Mother today was not only unprofessional it was down right insulting. My parents had been clients of this Firm for over 35 yrs. I have had to deal with this Co. for the past 4yrs bc my Mother is fully disabled. I have questioned their fees from day 1. The owner of the Co. pretty much admitted today they had been overcharging her bc she drastically reduced their fees from yrs prior, even though the Co. is doing the exact same thing they had been doing yrs prior. The receptionist has been rude to me from day 1. Idk how they keep any clients with her being so rude.

I had the absolute worst experience with this tax preparation company. They gave me bad advice, costing me thousands of dollars. They also did a shoddy job of preparing my taxes. They chose standard deductions for everything they could. I agreed upfront what the preparation would cost to file late taxes. And, I get a bill several months later tacking on $1200.
I paid the full amount on the day that I hired them. There was nothing special about my taxes except that they were filed late. I could have done a much better job on my own. Unfortunately, I did not realize that until I decided to do my own taxes for 2018. Using Lott Vernon was a total waste of my money. They could not answer basic questions about changes I needed to make in QuickBooks, and they tried to charge me for the time it took to figure out that they were incompetent and could not give me any guidance.
I had to calculate everything manually because of this, which made things much simpler for them. They were rude and hard to reach to top it all off. I would never suggest this firm to anyone. I made a huge mistake by hiring them. To sum it all up, Lott Vernon is a joke in my opinion. I will be preparing my own taxes from now on. That's the only good thing that came from my experience with them.

I have been a client for years and would never consider changing accountants. The staff and partners are highly trained and work harder than I could possibly imagine. They offer Quickbooks assistance, tax preparation, audit services and much more. When I got a notice from the IRS, they were able to help me and I am thankful that this quality service exists in the community.
