I use this CPA office for a couple years, working with Jason. The pros are that he is very responsive to email, working even on the weekends. His explanations are clear. However I am convinced that he sleeps with The Fountainhead under his pillow and is an istj without an empathetic bone in his body. Several mistakes had been made with my taxes, including an error on reporting a stock sale that would have cost me money had I not caught it myself, repeatedly completing forms that were unnecessary for CA state taxes for a Delaware Corporation and then billing me, but I continued to use him despite all the red flags. It's not like he would call me to go over forms before he would fill me out he would just automatically do it and send the bill.
That was a problem with the flat out wrong California state forms as well as payroll tax quarters in which I did not pay myself anything. Baroldi charged $225 each for three single sheet forms that just had $0 written on them. It was like pulling teeth to get an explanation for why they would do something like this, and their explanation consisted of " welll you signed a contract saying you would pay so hahaha". Needless to say I was very taken aback.
Then when I was confused about why I would pay so much money for someone to basically do no work, the firm held my payroll tax return hostage despite my attempts to create a payment plan with them during the time of virtually no revenue for my company at all. So in a massive departure from responsibility to the client, they ensured that I would incur late charges and interest for not filing the form on time.
The assistant reduced the charges some but it was still than I felt comfortable paying all at once until I could make sure I absolutely had enough money to cover expenses. Lesson learned. Proceed at your own risk.

I've had Baroldi and Associates working with us for the last 15 months and they're the best CPA Firm I've ever engaged. They're lightening fast, never delay on important issues, and work really collaboratively with their clients. Given that the implications are huge for not staying on top of IRS/Tax matters, I'd say that it's worth every penny to engage a highly-professional group like Baroldi and Associates.
