The telemarketer from this company that just called my business was absolutely RUDE! They handled themselves so horribly that I cannot believe they can actually keep their business going. This company first called my business telling me that they are looking for the owner of the company. That is always the first thing that lets me know that here is someone "cold calling" my office.
Then I asked what this was in reference to and the person said he was "returning a phone call from the owner". My next question to him was well if you are returning a phone call then what is the name of the business owner that you are returning the call for. He obviously was upset that I would not allow him to continue his "cold calling" telemarketing.
He then told me that "my attitude sounded like a $9.00 an hour secretary" and that is when I hung up on him. I would think that to call up a business and insult the person that answered your phone call is not a good way to get clients. Also, being called a secretary is not an insult to me so I am not sure if they thought I would hang up and cry about it.
