Gould, Kobrick & Schlapp, P.C. is one of the few CPA firms in New York that specializes exclusively in providing audit, consulting and related services to labor organizations and employee benefit plans. The Firm is a member of the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center and all of our principals and CPAs are members of the AICPA, the NYSSCPA and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. Our principals have spoken at seminars and conferences and have written and taught for the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
Services
The Firm has one subsidiary, Kobgo Associates, Inc., which performs payroll compliance audits of contributing employers. As a small firm, our principals are directly involved in all aspects of every engagement. Since we exclusively serve the labor and employee benefit plan industries, our principals and professionals are well versed in the accounting, audit and regulatory aspects of these organizations.
Mr. Schlapp is the managing partner of the Firm and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants and has been serving the labor industry since 1977. He monitors the Firm's compliance with changing regulations and trends in the accounting profession specific to labor organizations and employee benefit plans.
As a Firm we understand the needs of today's professional to obtain a satisfactory work-life balance. Our environment is conducive to such needs and we welcome resumes from dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team. Since we are a small-sized firm, employees usually work directly with a Principal. This arrangement provides an enriching and invaluable learning experience.
