BEWARE and STAY AWAY! We used PPC and website services through Aprio's Applied Behavioral Economics consulting practice and it was a disaster and a massive waste of money. We believed and trusted the leader of the practice, Ark Rozental, as he preached so much about Aprio's fiduciary duty to their clients but our experience was terrible. His communication was less than poor, we never received reports or even a breakdown of how our money was being spent (no matter how many times we asked), our website re-brand was just a redo of our old website with a few minor changes and we saw absolutely no results or new leads, even though they were taking thousands of dollars per month for PPC ads. We're a small business and are deeply struggling with the loss of money with no results. STAY AWAY from this company and especially the behavioral economics practice.

Aprio filed late on my businesses behalf without telling me. Then, they billed the business for their additional hours, costing us tens of thousands of dollars. As a result, we may have to lay off dozens of people, or we may close forever. Late filings without permission are a form of racketeering. According to Investopedia: "Racketeering may also take the form of a protection racket. In a protection racket, a criminal entity may threaten to cause harm to a business or an individual's private property if the owner does not pay a fee for protection."

Super disappointed in Aprio, LLP. An accountant i worked with for years decided to join this group which is a large firm. He took us over with him and we have been there for a few years. But now, I guess the firm has no use for small businesses. I have been working with an Aprio accountant for our 2020 taxes and then I get an email today that stated - oh by the way, we aren't going to be able to help you with your taxes after-all.
We will have made arrangements for another firm to take over account. Ummmm, what about the time that I have already put into this process. That apparently makes no difference. Just wanted to spread the word about this disappointing business practice. If you are a small business, I advise you to stay away.

After receiving unexpected bills from Aprio in 2020, I have decided to close my business after thirty years. Taxes and a potential increase in the minimum wage in my state are challenging enough; but to be kept in the dark by my own money manager is too much. I will have to lay off my staff of twenty-five. I will retire. God knows how much it will cost to have Aprio send me my records.
