I have been using Doug for my personal taxes for many years now and they have always done a nice job. Very easy to work with! I also have the folks at Alan Douglas assemble our business quickbooks info and do our 1099's. This year I referred both of my grown children to their business for tax preparation. Good people!

We started using Alan Douglas LLC a little over a year ago for our personal and business taxes and payroll. There has always been poor response times but payroll did get done once we did reach Doug. Of course, the invoices for services always seemed to get to us in a timely manner, sometimes before we ever received the payroll or service we were being charged for.
We gave Doug our personal and business tax information in the beginning of March and have yet to hear anything from him. We have called and email countless times with no response back from him. We are only ever able to get his assistant on the phone and always receive the same response (for months!) that he is working on them and she will have him call us. Taxes are due in only a month thanks to the government extension and we have not heard anything.
We do not want to be in default. At this point we would love to just get our information back and take it to another accountant but can't even get ahold of him to do that. This has been the worst part of our first year owning a small business. I would not recommend this accountant to anyone.
