2020 has been a difficult year for many but I would have expected my accounting could have been handled online or via phone like any other year. Unfortunately, EA Williams had excuses after excuses for why my tax returns were not be addressed for over a month and then finally at the last minute prior to the deadline, with hours notice submitted with pressure for me to approve.
They were kicked back by the IRS with errors and EA Williams would not correct and demanded payment for the incorrect filing, stating that they were "filed" and payment was due. I do not believe that they were even reviewed by a CPA as evidenced by an email that arrived after they were filed and after the deadline, asking if i had questions before they were to be submitted which made me begin to wonder who had actually done my returns.
Then for them to not correct the errors and demand payment was not within professional standards or ethics in my opinion. I have since hired another CPA to redo my returns but am still disputing with EA Williams the payment they are demanding for the incorrect work. Watch out, the professionalism is certainly lacking.
