I've had Steve doing my taxes since I moved back to LA about 15 years ago. My taxes are fairly complicated and involve a business, stock day trades a foreign bank account or two. Steve has always been one of my favorite people. He does a great job.

Stephen and his team were of TREMENDOUS help to my sister, my brother-in-law and myself as we sorted out the tax obligations left to us by our father's unexpected passage into eternity. Steve Rousso has been my CPA for about 20 years now. He's now doing the returns on my third business. I've used other CPA's and accountants over the years and Steve is in a league of his own. You won't find a more competent, caring accountant.

I visited Stephen after finding him here on Yelp, and he seems like a really solid guy. I did the initial consultation, and there was a point where he could have (if he wanted to) broken the advice into two steps ("Make an appointment and come back and we'll handle that, .") which would've shifted me from free to Paying, but. He didn't.

He basically doubled down the amount of information, so I wouldn't have to pay. That gets a gold star in my book, not that I have a book with gold (or any other color) stars in it, but if I did, that'd be one. The other point of note, is that he is extremely knowledgable -- and there was one point of information that was super recent ("Tax Credits on the Nissan Leaf"), a car which won't even be out til December, and his answer was "I don't know. let me look that up for you." If you ever meet a person who comes off as intelligent, and they're willing to admit to not knowing something -- stay there.

If you ever meet someone and they come off as intelligent, and they NEVER seem to be at a loss, then you have met someone who is good at bluffing. No one knows everything, and it's great to work with people who know that.

After a very favorable review here on Yelp, I contacted Steve Rousso to get some financial advice about a potential business plan. He was very kind to sit down with me for about 45 minutes to hear my plan and give me his advice about positives and negatives of this plan. He also made me aware of things that I was not aware of before and helped me understand the direction in which I should go.
