I am a trustee of the library where this firm has been employed. One partner walked out and quit during a board meeting and subsequently emailed a confirmation of that. Somehow, they seem to think they are still under contract and will continue working. Regardless, 3 of us (trustees) have clearly and strongly informed them we do not want them to return.
I have emailed them twice about this and they have yet to respond. There are so many things wrong here that I'd need to write an entire essay on it. Bottom line-this company is not trustworthy or professional and their work is substandard. I'd like to give 0 stars but that's not an option.

Evans, Marshall & Pease was hired by our library for accounting and consulting services and did a horribly sloppy job that was easily caught by our own Assistant Library Director & Business Manager. During the presentation at the November 17, 2021 Niles-Maine District Library board meeting, Evans, Marshall & Pease partner Christopher Scalet quit right on the spot after several corrections were made!
This was caught on the live stream which you can see at the YouTube URL below. Very unprofessional behavior. Look elsewhere for your accounting needs. https://youtu.be/NHkFo6utiUQ?t=9829

One of the partners at the firm quit in the middle of his presentation to the Niles-Maine District Library Board when the in-house accountant pointed out several factual errors and misleading conclusions in the presentation. But three board members (who's unethical behavior has drawn public protests and criticism from other officials at the local, state, and national level) decided to keep them on anyway. https://www.journal-topics.com/articles/contracted-niles-maine-library-accounting-firm-not-fired-after-partner-quits/
