Madsen & Company have prepared my taxes for the last 2 years. They have been incredibly thorough and efficient. I trust them implicitly to give me every advantage available to me in the process of reporting my taxes to the IRS. They are very responsive to all my questions and the website they use to download the documents is safe, secure and easy to work with. Steve was very kind and Tami who was my main contact did a fabulous job every step of the way. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a new accountant.

This was the first time my wife and I had to pay someone to do our taxes and it was such an awful experience. Steve is a nice guy and had received great reviews, so I decided to give him our business. We had an initial phone interview to discuss our needs and everything went really well. But, from that point on, it was not great at all. His prices are absolutely, positively, INSANE!

We paid $475 for him to do our taxes and we were robbed. I mean, the dude probably spent 20 minutes on our taxes and charged us almost $500! Once he prepares the return, you have to pay the invoice before you can see them. I am sure that's standard practice and all, but it's really lame. When we were preparing to file our taxes, it would have been nice if he provided us with some suggestions/advice about the upcoming stimulus payments that were being issued.

With our prior tax filing, we would have qualified for the full stimulus payment. But, Steve failed to mention anything about it and we filed, which changed our tax bracket to an amount that prevented us from getting stimulus money, which we really needed. We dropped off all of our original paperwork and because it was in the midst of a global pandemic, it was difficult to get down to his office to get our documents.

I asked him to mail them to us and never heard back. I spoke with his assistant and she said we could pick the documents up when things were not so strict. Well, that never happened. We have been emailing for the last few weeks, asking him to mail the originals so we can file our taxes for 2020, but the dude is ghosting us. Use turbo tax people! ***UPDATE*** Old boy finally responded to our email. It took this review to get his attention and that was my intention. I'll nudge my review up to 1.125 stars just for you bruh. Thanks for nothin old boy!

I have been a loyal customer at Madsen and Company for 8 years now. It is very important for me to know all of the facts. Steve continues to stay ahead of the curb and to communicate all adjustments to annual taxes as they change year over year. He also make it very convenient to drop off all the forms, and then pick them up when completed. He will even mail your forms to you if you cannot make to the office.

Working with Steve has been great! He is very knowledgeable about bookkeeping, payroll, taxes, and more. He has great insight of how to get things done and who to contact (even at state level) for information that you might need. His practice is paperless which is an added benefit because everything gets done in a timely manner. We found Madsen and Company through a Valpak ad offering a free review of the last three years tax returns. Steve was quick to respond and get us in for an appointment. He was also friendly and very helpful. Our returns are pretty simple so we didn't end up having anything change, but Steve's professional knowledge was terrific all the same. If we had a small business or more complicated returns, we'd definitely go through Madsen and Company!

Charges about what you'd expect for a CPA, except he'll file your taxes wrong and then try to charge you for his mistakes.
