I have been waiting for a tax return from 2019. I contacted them several times to figure out what is holding it up since it was hard to get through to the IRS. They never followed through or got back to me. I finally got ahold of the IRS myself and found out they neglected to file a simple form. I paid way to much to have to do their job.

We love working with Genaro at Hjortness CPA. He's been doing our taxes for a few years and has been very helpful. We are small business owners and one of us is from another country, so it's not easy to do ourselves. We always have great meetings and he's very responsive and have great advice.

(By the way: there's no apostrophe in CPAs; it's plural.) Just thought I might be of help. Last time I was in this "firm", I paid $650 for the completion of my taxes which included 15 forms plus worksheets. I found a new accountant in the same city who just completed 22 forms using twice the number of worksheets and who took care of four amendments.

The price? $295. So.if you're looking for a "professional" to greet you in his stocking feet;.if you're willing to pay very questionable fees;.if you like waiting for answers to questions and then groveling to have fees for answering those questions eliminated;.if you have time to listen to bogus reasons why your fees are so high--"It's so difficult to find CPAs who are willing to work for the salary I pay", which, btw, is the cost of doing business;.if you're sold on the idea that one needs a CPA to complete taxes; and.if you want to meet the new sheriff in town, by all means, visit this establishment.

Terrible experience! Lack of communication, takes a long time to get your taxes done, price are extremely high and lady that answers the phone is extremely rude.

I don't know what we would do without Eric and his team! My husband and I started our own business, and Eric has been there to help us all along the way. The financial and tax side of things can feel overwhelming, but I always feel so much better and more comfortable after getting guidance from Eric. He's an expert in his field, very easy to talk to and always makes himself available when we have questions. Couldn't recommend him more!
