Henry & Horne - Chuck Goodmiller

$10,000.00 per hour for expert witness testimony/! Total rip off and terrible financial practices! I contracted with Henry and Horne to do some VERY simple forensic accounting. I was changed $1000.00 for 6 minutes of court testimony (even though the accountant was able to do this from the comfort of her office without having come to court). Very simple work was done preliminary by reviewing their own written 4 page forensic report and findings.this takes 4.3 hours?

I had an absolutely AWFUL experience with Diana at Henry and Horne. I own a business and made the mistake of doing business with this company. Their faults are almost too many to list. At first, when they were trying to get my business, everything seemed great. They asked the right questions and seemed knowledgable on not only nation tax issues, but also international which is very important for my business.

But then came reality, when trying to get a budget on how much services would cost monthly, I was met with such pushback. The idea that an accounting firm couldn't understand why a budget was important and needed is absurd to me. Many many emails back and forth, with multiple people from the company never answering any questions. Finally, after they filed for a tax extension (without my knowledge or consent) and sent me a $600 invoice, I decided it was well past the time to move on.

The cherry on top: the reasoning they filed for an extension was because "we were busier with larger clients that took priority over you". Literally said that to me and expected me to pay them for overlooking my business in favour of someone who pays more.

So in the middle of a divorce, my wife decides to refile our personal taxes so she can get a refund. She does this without my knowledge and without my signature, and Henry and Horne processed it for her. Then I find out they made a mistake on the return and the State of Arizona thinks I owe them a bunch of money. They eventually fixed the error but after awhile they stopped responding to my questions about the returns they created without my knowledge. So I would think twice about using these guys, nothing immediately wrong with them, just sort of sloppy and lacking customer service.

I am just a small, one person individual who found Henry & Horne when I was needing to file some back taxes in order to get right with "the man". They were great organization to deal with and with the help from Danette, we got me squared away and back on track! I've used this firm to do my taxes every year since.maybe a bit more costly, but I know they do a great job and have helped me to figure out how to do my deductions so I get to enjoy my money all year long, break even at the end of the year with owing/paying either the state or feds. My experience has been nothing but positive.

Worse Tax Company ever. They screwed up my taxes big time and cost me thousands of dollars. I went from having a "refund" to getting letters from the IRS every other week and owing over a thousand dollars. If you want your taxes completely messed up this is your firm. Extremely unprofessional, unapologetic and careless. I don't understand how they can still be in business.

Did my taxes for 4 years - spent at least $10k per year. I know I was a small account but the work they did was terrible. Fortunately I have found a small business accountant who cares about the work he does and my books are in much better shape and taxes correct.
