Steve and his professionals have been doing my taxes for several years. The prices are far, the work is excellent, and I not only have never had any issues, but they helped fix some old issues and have made a number of excellent suggestions that I would have never thought of on my own. For the past 3 years, the staff of Furrer & Associates has consistently provided me with excellent customer service. They promptly reply to phone calls and emails, and they prepare our filings well in advance of due dates. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I have been using Furrer and Associates for many years now and I find their services to be extremely useful year after year. They do my corporate and personal taxes, and their prices are extremely fair. They respond within a day to all of my question, both the mundane and the more technical ones. When it comes to taxes it's a matter of balancing the costs and the service and they do a great job at keeping these in tune with one another.

Do not use this firm for your tax return. The CPA's have all the necessary credentials but are very careless. I found two mistakes totaling over $1500.00. I have no tax training. If I did not catch these mistakes nobody would have. These were both very, very stupid mistakes that should never occur at a professional accounting firm. The CPAs at this firm, was told directly by the CPA that completed my taxes, are not 'trained' by Furrer to check their work after it goes through the software nor are they required to compare the results to the previous year.

The CPA actually blamed both of these mistakes on the software and expected me to be satisfied with this response. I hired them to use their ability not to blindly rely on the software. I thought I was paying for the expertise of a competent CPA or I could have just bought turbo tax and do it myself for a lot less money. I never received an apology from Steve Furrer until I contacted him.

I found out that he loves to brag about his credentials but I honestly only care about his results and here he failed miserably. Eventually, after I forced the situation, Steve agreed to refund the $500.00 fee he charged me. Two months later no refund. I emailed him and he actually emailed me back stating "he forgot". That speaks to his attitude. I have several other issues as well with his customer service skills but I believe I have made my point.

There are many other tax preparers out there that actually care about their customers and want to earn your business. Steve Furrer is certainly not one of them. My confidence level with this firm could not be lower, and I still do not know if my taxes are done correctly. Call the next firm on your list, find someone who actually cares.

The best team ever! Duke and Julie are excellent, responsive, and work hard to make the process as smooth as possible. If anyone is looking for an accounting firm, this should be your only stop!

Furrer & Associates has been our accountant for over 9 years. They handle services for us ranging from bookkeeping to advisory services. Their entire staff, from administrative assistants to the owner, has always been extremely helpful and accommodating, going above and beyond for whatever our needs are. We highly recommend Furrer & Associates.

Absolutely awful company with awful customer service from the CPAs. I was a customer before the previous company was bought out and ended up with these guys. Quarterly taxes were never done on time, and often not ready for pickup until after the due date had passed. After following their advice, I was told by them that I had been doing the wrong thing all along and condescendingly told so after their mistake caused me a small fine which I insisted they pay due to it being their fault.

I let it go because it was during the switchover, so I thought perhaps it was a simple miscommunication. Things went downhill quickly. Despite having my itemized receipts to them over months early, they were still a month late filing. When I questioned it, they said I would be responsible for the late fees and fines because my paperwork was late. Luckily I had the emails to back me up.

By the way I was treated, I believe the woman working with me was lying to her boss about what was happening. The few times I spoke with him, he was rude. Clearly there were problems in the company as I had over four CPAs that I "worked with" while doing business with them. I ended up taking my business elsewhere and am still trying to figure out the tangled web of problems they created for me.

The Ohio Attorney General's office contacted me because of missing paperwork due to their negligence and informed me that the company hadn't correctly set up my LLC as it should have been done for the type of business I am running. Absolute frustration.
