Managing Member Jeffrey Schultz, CPA, understood the value of money and financial management before he was able to drive. In fact, his passion for the industry began when he was just a young boy, mowing lawns for neighboring homes. After his grandfather passed away in the late 1970s, he would ride his bike to his grandmother's house weekly and cut her lawn.
When business owners' accounting and bookkeeping is disorganized or not up to date, it is not uncommon for this trend to continue for months or even years. To help resolve the issues, Jason sits down with clients to determine the necessary steps required to get unorganized businesses current as quickly as possible.
Teresa Welsh, CPA, a certified public accountant in metro Detroit, has over 30 years of experience in taxation and real estate consulting, as well as five years in venture capital. She is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Tax Section, and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA).

Jason helped me prepare my tax return and did an excellent job. He was responsive to my questions and helped me explore a few different scenarios. I file my returns as married filling separately and so my tax situation is non-standard. He guided through the process and everyone was timely and responsive.

Although I was not a client of his, when I talked to Jeff by phone last year he was very helpful answering my questions and suggested I contact him again if I needed help at tax preparation time. When I called recently for an appointment he was able to schedule time within two days and my meeting with him was a great help. I found him very knowledgeable, professional and helpful and would trust his expert advice. A great experience at this difficult tax time.

I came to Jeff after 3 months working with audit protection from Turbo Tax. My taxes were filed incorrectly and turbo tax was unable to correct the error. Jeff solved the problem in about 45 minutes. He was fast, efficient and knowledgeable. He organized all the papers I needed to send and made everything extremely easy. He is a down to earth and trustworthy person. I will be using him for all my tax needs. I highly recommend his services.

I've had a great experience working with Jeff Schultz at Schultz & Associates. I've entrusted them with doing my taxes since 2009. That year I had just come back to the US to start medical school after working abroad for 1 year. I wanted help dealing with the intricacies of filing taxes with foreign income, and Jeff Schultz was highly recommended to me by a fellow medical student. Jeff took his time to look through the details of filing my return that year, and I was impressed by his thoroughness and diligence.
I've gone back to him every year since then, and he hasn't let me down. I appreciate that he always remembers me, takes the time to answer my questions personally, and treats me like an individual and not just a number. I also like that with my busy schedule, I can give him a quick update on my year and then he takes care of everything. I don't have to worry.
There was one year where the IRS gave me a hard time with electronic filing. I appreciated that Jeff and his staff took care of that issue, and saved me the trouble of having to be on hold with the IRS for hours. I would highly recommend Schultz and associates to anyone who needs tax help, and I plan to keep going back to them in the years to come.

Jeff took time out of his busy day to look over the return we had prepared ourselves, helping us to understand why it was so different than the previous year. He explained to us how it was correct and showed us why. He also gave us advice on how to decrease our tax bill next year! Very friendly, very helpful, and very professional! Wouldn't hesitate to go back!

I know nothing about taxes besides the fact that I have to file. I called Schultz & Associates, and had an appointment that day. They sat down with me, prepared my return, and explained it to me in a way that I could understand. I would recommend giving Schultz & Associates a call if you have any tax needs. Their staff is young and motivated. Great service, great experience, and I will be coming back next January!

It has been hard to find reliable and time efficient tax preparers in the past, but over the last 2 years I have drove over 180 miles to get my taxes done here. They have always been able to find a way to get more money back to me than your H&R Blocks and Turbo Taxes. This is well worth the drive and will do so over and over again. I highly recommend the people of "Schultz & Associates" and look forward to doing more with them over the years.

Very professional, polite and quick. I gave them my tax information on a Friday morning, and before noon someone was calling me to let me know my returns were done and ready to pick up. I was surprised how fast the turnaround was. I would highly recommend Schultz and Associates to anyone that has accounting needs.
